The CNMI DPS oversees law enforcement services including patrol, investigations, highway patrol, marine patrols, emergency response, and public safety education.

Visit the DPS Records Section and submit a request form. A small processing fee may apply. Bring a valid ID.

Payments are to be made at the CNMI Guma Hustisia court house treasury window.

We do not provide background checks, but we advise you visit the CNMI Guma Hustisia court to obtain a criminal clearance.

Yes. DPS may provide crime prevention programs, boating safety, highway safety education, and school outreach.

DPS works closely with the CNMI Homeland Security & Emergency Management Office to distribute preparedness information. Materials are available online and through public announcements.

Visit the DPS Internal Affairs or Professional Standards Office and complete a complaint form. You may remain anonymous, but providing contact information helps with follow-up.

E. CNMI State Driver’s license requirements: (Valid for 3 years)

 

  1. Valid U.S. Passport Book or Card ( original and signed) or
  2. Birth Certificate ( original and certified)
  3. CW/Visa Status: (Receipt or Approval Notice with less than 3 years is subject to 1 year or applicable.

 

All applicants must submit complete application form, payment receipt and necessary documents.
